Secure On-Line Ordering Our site offers secure, encrypted and password-protected on-line shopping facilities for your peace of mind. We accept credit and debit card payment, but if you prefer not to use card payment, you can print off your order and send it with a cheque made payable to Hippins at the above address. Alternatively you can telephone us with your order - the office is open from 9.30 until 3pm weekdays to speak to a member of staff, or you can get through to our 24-hour mail order line on (01531) 650974 and we will call you back to take your order details. Please have your shipping information, product details and credit card number ready when you call. If your item is not in stock, or is a made-to order item, we will usually email or telephone you with an expected delivery date. Stock items are normally dispatched by return, using courier or first class mail, but please allow 14 days for receipt. If an item is out of stock for longer than this, we will email you. Made-to-order items such as personalised blankets, door plaques and pictures will usually be dispatched within 21-28 days.
Returns policy In the unlikely event that you are not delighted with your goods, we will offer you a replacement or refund.(*some exceptions apply, see below) We request that you return unsuitable goods to us in new, unused and saleable condition, complete with the original packaging, within 7 working days of receipt. We request that you contact us for a returns number prior to sending any items back, as we cannot accept returned items without a valid returns number. *Made-to-order and personalised items are non-returnable unless faulty. If you should find that an item delivered to you is faulty, please let us know as soon as possible. The item or defective part will be replaced if the fault is due to manufacturing or parts failure. Normal wear and tear, and consumable items such as light bulbs are not covered by this guarantee.
If your item should be delivered in less than perfect condition, please contact us WITHIN 24 HOURS so that we can claim on your behalf from the courier company. Keep the original packaging, and if possible email us with pictures of the damage. Items will be replaced or repaired and we will bear the cost of return carriage in such cases. Our returns policy complies with the UK's Consumer Protection (distance selling) regulations. The customer is responsibe for the cost of return postage, and we regret that original carriage costs cannot be refunded. Delivery charges Our standard delivery charge (excluding furniture ranges and some heavy products, for which delivery surcharges are clearly displayed) is a weight based calculation and is dependant on shipping destination. You can use our 'calculate shipping' function by adding your shopping to your cart, and using the button below the cart on the left menu. Heavier items such as rugs, wooden accessories & furniture, and fragile items including lamps and mirrors cannot usually be shipped outside of the UK. We reserve the right to decline orders where the cost of shipping is more than the cost of the items purchased. If in doubt, please email for advice.
Many of our furniture pieces are offered with a Uk delivery and home assembly service. Some ranges incur a carriage charge, and some require simple home assembly. This is clearly stated within the product information. Delivery times vary on made-to-order furniture, please contact us if you require clarification. Deliveries made by national carriers will be delivered by one man and delivered to your front door. The services used will only deliver the ordered items to the front door of the designated delivery address. This means that if you reside in an apartment or a block of flats, the delivery driver will deliver to the lobby of the building only. Please understand that couriers and logistics companies are not insured to enter private premises. Please be aware that if you purchase a product with a doorstep delivery service (rather than a delivery and assembly service) and require assistance with the positioning of the product, you must arrange the assistance yourself. US CUSTOMERS; Please be aware that our site is based in the UK and prices are shown in GBP £ pounds sterling. For a guide to the equivalent price in dollars please use a currency converter website. Currency exchange rates are outside of our control. The price charged in pounds will be converted to dollars at the rate applicable on the date your bank processes payment.
